A brainwave.....l unwound the humungus lead for the modem and led it inot my daughters room to 'her' pc, (my 4 yr old pc) which she uses mostly for itunes and games...NOT internet access...we have be strict here.....until now...we tried my modem and it worked first time...
SO deep Joy..
l am online at home again and such a relief....
l shant be able to Do everything, but l can now wait patiently for my it guru nephew to either arive or send me the relevant dicks to reboot the system....until such time, l can have my daily required dosage of vfg/email and attic updates....without suffering...much...ahhhhh!!!
just a little QUIET and some quality thinking time, and we can work around a BAd situation..thankfully...
