OK, am I WAAAY off on the date of these slippers?

I got these slippers this summer from the same person as I bought those blue and white "pixie" shoes from. I reckon they are late 60's- very early 70's judging from the wedge heel and the composition sole. Am I way off or does that date sound right? I think it's the pointed toe that is confusing me, it's making me think they are more early 60's?

Also, it's wool fleece on them- is that called "mouton" or would I be correct just calling it "wool fleece"?

I love these slippers, they look so comfy but unfortunately, they are a size 4 or something and my size 10 feet are WAY too big for them!

I used to own the identical pair in red! I felt they were early - mid 60s. The wedge heel is a bit of an anomaly but it is a slipper and the wedge is narrow so its for comfort.

I can't answer your question as I know nothing about shoes! But I just had to tell you that these tickle me! They are SO adorable! The person you got these from must've really loved unique shoes as I saw the pixie shoes too!

Sorry I can't help! Shoes (and furs) are not my forte. But I just HAD to tell you that these rock! :headbang:

Sincerely,
Tara

Thanks Jonathan for the date help! LOL, it turns out then that I was at the wrong end of the 60's :D The wedge was telling me later but the toe was telling me earlier.

Tara, they are great slippers- just wish they fit me. I can get just a quarter of my foot into them and they are soooo comfy. I found a size label in them and they are a US 5. I so wish I had an "enlarging machine" so I can make them 5 sizes bigger!

Isn't that always how it goes? I'm always finding things that I love that just don't fit. :icon_wall:

We need to create either an enlarging machine or a shrinking machine!
