I agree with '40s and think your model might be wearing it back to front. The side zipper usually goes on the left but if you look at the bust darts you'll know for sure.

If the satin is cool to the touch it might be silk satin but '40s ballgowns are usually rayon satin I find.

The lace is Guipure.
