I'd love some info about this old perfume bottle. From what I can see from the marks on the silver top it's Birmingham 1905. Bottle itself is Italian maybe? I'd love any and all tid bits of info from folks. Perfume maker would be great!

I've been searching for more info as "twin scent bottles" and get usually two bottles in a casket box not a bottle like this.

Appreciate the help! : )

I was thinking the same thing... they have different tops - is one for pouring and the other for sprinkling? Because the pouring would be for oil and the sprinkling for vinegar.

Hey all! Sorry I had to run as the discussion was going!

I am very interested in this "scandanavian glass." So the glass was blown and then exported to the UK where they assembled this. The glass component of this piece threw me too...doesn't seem to go with the tops...but I did find a similar piece (1919 though) with different tops, everything else same. The silver/brass tops...is that normal to mix metals?

Oh, I appreciate this discussion so much!

I think what Laura is saying is that the brass cap is not original - and I agree. The silver cap looks real, perhaps someone lost the other cap and found something else to fit?

I'm sure i've seen something similar to this in an Army and Navy catalogue at work (i think the catalogue in question is 1907). Ill see if i can find the catalogue today and get back to you...

Brass cap not original. I see what you mean. I really did wonder if that was possible, the two...makes sense.

lizzie, that'd be so cool if you come up with a pic. I found one online but it was 1919 and the top was more mod in lines.

Thanks all!

I *think* it was Heath and Middleton, Birmingham 1907. That's what I've found so far, similar bottles on line...
