OLGA Peignoir set Maybe Yes, Maybe No

Good morning,

I tried looking everywhere first for the answer to this question, with no luck, so I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me.

I found a 60's - 70's Olga "Sleeping Pretty" short peignoir set.

Then I started looking more closely at the set and found that the style number on the nightgown is #9100 and the style number on the robe is #9500. Same blue color on both, same double skirt with empire waist and silky nylon under layer with sheer chiffon over layer. Robe even has a little gap in bodice for the ribbon tie on nightgown to show through.

Along with different style numbers, lace is slightly different.

My question: Would a robe and nightgown have different style numbers and still create a peignoir set OR did each piece come from a different set???

And if each piece is from a different set, but so close and called Sleeping Pretty is it still considered a peignoir set or not???

Thank you all once again,
Alice

Lynne,
I just read through the 1967 ad. The information was great!!! However, I couldn't find a link to the 1976 ad. I'm amazed at how quickly you were able to find this information!!!
Wonderful.
Thank you,
Alice

Alice,

The link is the word "this" before 1976. If that doesn't work for you, you can find that ad and many more by Googling "Sleeping Pretty" (be sure it is in quotes) and Olga, like this:

"Sleeping Pretty" Olga

When you are done scanning those hits/results, click on the small word 'News' at the top left of the Google screen, then click on 'Archives' along the left edge of the next screen.

Just tried the search. Great information.
I had no idea Google offered an Archives News search.
I can't wait to look up some more things.

Thanks Lynne.
