Hi there again Everyone,
I'm pretty certain this is from the 60s but the label seems older somehow and I'm not really sure.

Also, is there a name for that part belt at the back that becomes taut when buttoned? I've had a few coats like that and I'm never sure what to term it?
Lauren

Hi again Lauren, It does look like a mink collar and mouton body, it does look like it dates to the 60s, and the belt in back is called a detachable half belt. Sometimes furrier labels are not as reliable for dating because their garments are custom made, not mass produced, and they may use older labels at a later time.

Thanks again Caryn....I was wondering about that because the label looks so much older than the coat...e.specially with the "From trapper to wearer" bit. The buttons are gorgeous....they have little rhinestones in them and I can't seem to get the lighting right to show them off...they totally make the coat.
