One Smelly Question!

Such an un-lady like issue!
Well, I live in an old house with closets the size of my freezer box. so I have to keep my (semi-sick collection) shoes in my bed room. I have used the little fan air fresheners, Wick Sticks and so on. But with Summer comming(Heat always makes things smell worse) I need to find an odour absorber.
I have hear of White vinegar in little tubs soak up smells, and the dryer-sheets in tennis shoes... Any other ideas?

I have used activated charcoal with great success. You can buy it in bags in the aquarium section of the pet store. It comes in little aquarium rock sized peices and it is super easy to make sachets with it.

I made my sachets with those little cloth drawstring gift bags that are used for wedding favors and such. I got a package of 10 or 12 (can't remember which) for a few dollars at Wal-marche. They are nice because you can refill them very easily and quickly. I have been recently thinking that it would it be a fun project to sew up a bunch of little bags from vintage fabric scraps, fill them with the charcoal and then put them inside my vintage storage and in my own closet. Alas, time does not allow for such extravagancies!
