Opinions About Date and info of this Marisa Ruby Dress

Hello, I have this interesting very heavy wool dress with a label that says Mexico and Marisa Ruby. I have never had a dress from Mexico and wondered if the numbers in the middle might be the actual manufacturing date? The fabric is very textured and quite heavy as I said with a metal zipper (arrow) up the front. Just curious about any further info before I list it. Many thanks!!!! Susan

Lovely dress, I vote coat dress.

Are there shoulder pads, or signs that they were there originally? I would like to date it as late '40s to early '50s, and shoulder pads will put it at the early end of this date range.
