Origin of embroidery on this cape?

Hi all!

I have this really lovely wool and metal embroidered cape that I'm trying to find out more about. The outer fabric is wool and the lining burns like rayon. The embroidery is all hand done and very detailed with a 'swirling paisley' motif. Is this Indian or Persian influenced? Am I right on the 1930s date for this?

Thank you!

It looks like metallic embroidery - brass or gold, but that puts it pre Lurex, so 1930s-40s sounds good. Definitely Indian, but Indian embroidery historically comes from Persia, so its both! Possibly made for export, or for European tastes in India (British administrator wives)
