Orla Kiely Autumn/Winter 2013

Louise, I don't know this designer, but I love her work and it's wonderful to see how well her collection fits into "real" life. I actually still have my opaque stocking from the 60s. Hope the elastic is still good.
She's an Irish fashion designer based in London. Also sells a range of homeware and fabrics too. Pricey stuff, but then aren't they always? :drinking2:

Impressed that you have stockings from the 60s! :clapping:

Haha Julie, too funny, as I am drinking coffee out of my Missoni mug which was bought during that designer frenzy, remember that one? I missed the Orla Kiely Target collection, darn!

I loved that fashion show, but for me, I was*so* distracted by the hair! I mean yes, I love a bit of a messy look, but those updos needed a bit more "doing" as far as I am concerned, lol :)

not sure the model featured in the front shots really has the acting skills to pull it off though!

haha! I know. I bet she hadn't seen the like before! Probably didn't know what the heck to do with any of the office equipment! They look about age 16 to me. And soooooooooooo teeny tiny!

I kept looking at the green telephone which definitely wasn't around in the 1960s. We had one of those at home in the mid to late 1970s. However, I guess whoever made those sets wasn't even alive in the 1980s, let alone the 60s or 70s!!! Yikes! :rolleyes:

Very cute! Love the little coats and I want to have those shoes (I just looooove T-straps!). To be honest, the models aren't just teeny, they truly look too thin...

Joules, I love your photo collection - I knew the name but didn't know what to associate it with. Very cute prints! Your Missoni stuff looks great too. I came across a Missoni dress in a secondhand shop last week - looked to be 70s but unfortunately really not a nice one...

Me too, Julia! You can spot the purple zig zag one, in the group photo.
I've found that coffee tastes much better from a Missoni mug, wouldn't you agree? ;

Karin, thank you!

I ended up selling the apron on ebay when I was short of cash. Probably a mistake.
I got a cute set of OK napkins too.

Sorry to hear that Missoni dress you saw was uninspiring. Know what you mean though, as when they miss the mark, they can be not so hot.
