Oscar de la Renta mystery label!

So I picked up this insane caftan yesterday:

I was quite surprised to see the "Oscar de la Renta" signature on the fabric. It has a label that isn't pictured in the label resource:

Here's a picture of the turned-under selvedge:

It says, "Couleur International LTD Designed by Oscar de la Renta." I did a Google search for Couleur International, and found that they were incorporated in the US in 1972. I couldn't find much else, though, and had no luck finding any reference to a collaboration with ODLR. Also, a Google search for "Oscar de la Renta Original Print" (the verbatim text on the label) didn't come up with any relevant results.

Does anyone know anything about ODLR and Couleur International? Or anything about the "Original Print" label? I know some of the posters here are first class internet sleuths - I'd appreciate any help!

(on a side note, would the mods like to use a pic of this label for the resource?)

I agree with Mary - it looks to be a home sewn garment out of a Oscar fabric, so not a "real" Oscar" but it's probably worth adding the label to the resource with a note because there are likely to be others out there.

Fabulous print!

I know that was true of Pendleton yardage.

You know, I'll bet you guys are right!

It's such a simple caftan design - and it's not that it isn't sewn well, there just...isn't a lot to sew. And the textile company name on the selvedge didn't seem very chic. I thought it looked more like someone made a simple cover-up out of yardage fabric, but the label threw me. I didn't knew they sold labels for home sewists!

If I must be honest, I kinda wish there wasn't that big neck hole in the center of it - I would pull those side seams and turn the fabric into curtains or a skirt or something! Hahaha...oh well...maybe someone out there is desperate for some hot hot 70s caftan action! :)

I remember that some of the Vogue Couturier patterns had labels with them also, didn't they? I found a dress once that was from a pattern that did
