OT: An easy way to donate to the Red Cross Haiti relief effort

The state department has set up a very easy way to donate to the Haiti relief effort. Text "HAITI" to 90999. This will automatically send $10 to the Red Cross and be charged to your cell phone bill.

Thanks Brenda. I don't have a cell phone, but I do have a friend who has been working on "human rights" in Hawaii for five years. I made small donations to his group occasionally and I haven't heard whether he is alright.

I just made a donation to his group - I know they will be there in person putting the money to good use.
