OT..Atomic?? Ashtray and Metal TV Thingy

Found these yesterday and I think they are so neat..any idea on dates, keywords. The metal tv thingy, I cannot figure out. It stands up. Would it have been to put on your TV and write the shows that were coming on???

Now THAT's an ashtray! :cool:

I have one of those 60's Space Age ball desktop "electro-light" lighters that was my parents. I love the modern design and it's something I would keep for myself, but I'm going to sell it because it just reminds me of my parents cig habits. Well, I'll sell it once I scrape out the old AA batteries that have been sitting in it since 1969, as mom just tossed it in the hall closet without taking them out. :wacko:

The tin (I assume) TV thing could be what other's have guessed. Point of Purchase display board or home TV viewing schedule board.

Both are nifty cool.

Bonnie, the tv thingy is 11 1/2 wide by 7 1/2 high so should be very noticable atop a tv set.

The ashtray is a nice size measuring 11 7/8 at longest point along side and about 10 inches wide at widest point.

I didn't come up with anything on Lido except they are in the sound business.
 
OMG!! let me just add i ADORE that way-cool ashtray!! and agree w/KW already suggested and i'd say 50's, too
