moon. (Instead we're sending people to live on deserted islands with

dollars.)

Pizza Hut or the Muppets glasses from McDonalds ...and drank out of them

* Your arm was full of rubber bracelets.
* You have ever said, "Gag me with a spoon."
* You have ever wondered what happened to Saturday morning cartoons.
* You had to get up to change the channel. "you were the remote control".

"Onetwothreefourfive..sixseveneightnineten...eleven...twelve!"
* The local video arcade was THE place to be on a Friday night.
* You jammed to Pat Benatar & slow danced to Air Supply.

If you can identify with at least half of this list then you, my friend,
are a "Child of the 80's". Send this to anyone that would appreciate going
back to this wonderful decade.

Sigh - a child of the 60s here.

Not that I don't remember a lot of that . I did wear big shoulder pads:BAGUSE:

But thinking of music - something to be grateful for -

'Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree' will never be #1 again.

lol - my son has sesame street video's to this day so i still walk around singing 'onetwothreefourfive..' half the time!

and yes, i have been in a nightclub on the dancefloor with friends only to have the bouncer walk over to one of the boys and tell him 'i don't want no breakin' in my club..' as he was attempting to 'windmill' (badly)!
*sigh* can't remember the last time i was in a club!!

so i'm afraid yes, me too. so i still don't get why people would want to wear it again, like my grandfather with the 30's and 40's! i've not noticed my odd pairs of neon towelling socks reappearing though, thankfully! :BAGUSE:

I remember all of that! I still listen to Pat Benetar and I love Air Supply.

I know I have a Care Bear glass around here somewhere and I saved all my daughter's Strawberry Shortcake dolls!

I pretty much did everything on that list, :D, however, no child of the 80s here but I sure lived it.

I recognized all but about 3 of those.:BAGUSE:
And yes, I did have a Strawberry Shortcake lunch box, thank you very much!;)

I was born in 77, so you can pretty much assume that I am a child of the 80's. I read that to my husband and we swaped 80's memories and items. He had the "duke of hazzrd" lunch box and I had "care bears". I still have my lunch box. My hubby still has the Atari game console and games packed away. We find the games at garage sale sometimes and we snap them up.
And I even have my wonder woman underwear set. My daughter wore it for a while too.......

oh my the memories!!!!!

Heehee, I was born in 1975 so I was a kid all through the 80's and was nodding my head in agreement to everything! LOL, I feel so OLD now!!!:D

Lei

Okay...

Here's another one to feel old by LOL

The folks entering college this year were born in 1987 (mostly). If you were born in 1987.....

Researchers have always been looking for stem cells.
They do not remember "a kinder and gentler nation."
They never saw the shuttle Challenger fly.
The TV networks have always had cable partners.

Airports have always had upscale shops and restaurants.
Black Americans have always been known as African-Americans.
They never saw Pat Sajak or Arsenio Hall host a late night television show.
Matt Groening has always had a Life in Hell.
Salman Rushdie has always been watching over his shoulder.

Digital cameras have always existed.
Tom Landry never coached the Cowboys.
Time Life and Warner Communications have always been joined.
CNBC has always been on the air.
The Field of Dreams has always been drawing people to Iowa.

They never saw a Howard Johnson's with 28 ice cream flavors.
Reindeer at Christmas have always distinguished between secular and religious decorations.
Entertainment Weekly has always been on the newsstand.
Lyme disease has always been a ticking concern in the woods.
Jimmy Carter has always been an elder statesman.

Miss Piggy and Kermit have always dwelt in Disneyland.
"America's Funniest Home Videos" has always been on television.
Their nervous new parents heard C. Everett Koop proclaim nicotine as addictive as heroin.
Lever has always been looking for 2000 parts to clean.
They have always been challenged to distinguish between news and entertainment on cable TV.

No...oh, that would have been cool! I remember glitter, but not liquid.
I mostly wore the black ones that looked like gaskets....it was the thrasher's girlfriend thing to do.

....oh, good times...Pong, anyone?

Jenn
