OT funny Snake story

This morning hubby informed me that our female Californiian King snake Rhiannon had escaped. I was just about to take a pee when I heard a scuffling, quickly I leaped up, Rhiannon quickly disappeared. What could I do? I peed in the bath and hubby has now gone to the shop to get a mouse to tempt her out with.
Wish us luck LOL

LOL! I love it! (um, what happens if you need to do something other than pee?)

Hope that mouse draws her out quickly!

Are you saying Rhiannon is in the toilet or is she just around the bathroom somewhere? You know there are urban legends about snakes in sewers/coming up toilets ...gators too of course :)

When i had lizards...i had a curly tailed skink and a jeweled swift. The former got out onto the beige carpet and i thought i had lost him, but all along when i stayed in one place, he ran right up next and sat next to me and i didn't notice he was even there for awhile because he blended in. Maybe if you don't make a lot of noise she'll come out.

(now i just enjoy the ones we have outside and we buy plants and things they like to be around so they'll stay)

Rhiannon was actually inside the lavatory, a mouse was left out to tempt her. A neighbour knocked on the door and said that it was reported that an enormous snake is on the loose in peoples gardens so hopefully she will be found soon. Although only 3 feet long her size was reported as at least six feet LOL

Okay, I'm confused. The snake was inside the toilet? Like in the water or down all the way inside? And now it is loose outside? How did it get outside? Oh and you 'thawed' a mouse?? :o
I'm lost!

How Rhiannon escaped from the toilet into the outside is beyond me. Presumably through the sewage pipes. So far I have not had any further visits from the neighbours but fortunately the weather is mild so she should be okay. She was spotted inside the water and dived down when I moved as I spotted her. Marie the mice are bought frozen for the snakes and have to be defrosted for them. When Caspian escaped he was lured out by dangling a mouse for him to grab. That was still frozen at that point so we took it away from him to defrost, he then got it back. He had been missing well over a week. Hopefully Rhiannon will be caught shortly.

well???

any luck yet?

I hope neighborhood panic has not started and your dear reptile is found!! I can only imagine having such a dilemma...yikes!! :o

Tonight my 11 year old hid a rubber snake pen among my mom's dish cloths. She did not appreciate the humor very much.

See, this is why I stick to cats & dogs as pets. Pehaps someday another ferret. I need my pets to have legs!! :P

I have fish....only worry is that they will die......but no worry of them escaping the tank!!!!!!!!!!!

Do hope your baby is found.....

no luck yet, but I'm not giving up hope. We had a cat that went missing years ago. Turned out she was locked in an unoccupied house. I was out in the garden and suddenly to my horror and delight I saw her franticly trying to grab my attention. I had to persuade the person next door to let me into her property so that I could scale the wall and break an entry. Pagan was emmaciated and dehydrated but made a full recovery. Animals with legs get into plenty of trouble LOL
