OT--INSTANT summer....

Here in Portland we've had a moderate winter....40s, cloudy, rainy, wet, drizzly...and endless spring....50s, cloudy, rainy, wet, drizzly...until today....SURPRISE...IT'S 96F!

HOT HOT sun and amazing scents...I think it's the wisteria and clematis montana, neither of which usually have a perfume in our climate.

Yep -- it was 100 F here yesterday and in the low-mid 90's the day before that.

Today is supposed to be a perfect 88 degrees. WOOoooo!

I can deal with 70s and 80s and even the LOW 90s, but over & under that I become a wuss.

We're going to have 5 straight days of no rain, the first time in a couple of months, which is really odd here. I planted like a madwoman yesterday, it was 70 tops in the afternoon. Yum!

I was in the 50's yesterday and it poured rain from morning to night.

That's OK, NYC needs a good bath at least once a week. Twice in the summer. Too many dogs. :poo:
