OT Is $30 too much to ship a newspaper?

Hi everyone, just a quick question for those familliar with the US postal system, is $30 shipping too much to ship a newspaper, or is it about right? It seems a lot to me, but perhaps that is because I originally paid the $13 invoice right away and it was refunded and a new invoice sent. What do you think?

It depends on where the newspaper is coming from and going to, weight, what type of mailing and turnaround - Priority, Express etc. Sounds pretty high.

Just realized you're in Ireland, Emma - it's fairly expensive to ship by air overseas. Perhaps, ask the seller how they plan to ship - Priority or Global Express - if the package will be insured etc.

You can go to usps.com and follow their 'calculate shipping' prompts if you want to check. You will need the weight of the newspaper.

Priority International starts at $20. If it's First Class International it would be less.

Seems like a newspaper would probably fit into a flat-rate Global Priority envelope, which goes for about $11.

Some sellers only ship express international since it is trackable. Expensive but covers the seller under the paypal seller protection policy.
