OT: My blooming crab apple trees

We recently purchased my dh's parents house. His Dad was an avid gardner and took such good care of the lawn and planted lovely trees and plants. We are really enjoying the fruits of his labor!! Here are a couple shots of our crab apple trees in bloom.

You can see our vegetable garden behind these trees. I can't wait to start harvesting!!

What a great yard. The trees are stunning. Ours are just starting to bud here in the Great White North. We had a touch of snow when I woke up this morning. ARGH!!!!!:snowman:

I should plant some of those at my park project. I have so little spring color there, since the deer eat the snot out of anything green that grows early.

l've just come in from the garden, having mowed the front and back and started to trim the edges l ran out of strimmer cord, so taking a natural break!! and saw this post....love the crab apples, miss not having them from our old farm garden...but am getting used to to the new trim and proper garden...you can tell old folks had it b4....
i started transforming the spare greenhouse into my den, l laid carpet tiles, and moved out most of the surplus gardening supplies to my GREENhouse...found an old pink painted pub chair...a work in progress..!! l shall take pics and post them here soonest!!!

when the sun is out it is bliss to sit in the garden and chill..(well this is cumbria, we don't swelter..unless l have a flash!!)
