Her life did inspire the film Charlotte Gray - even though she was Australian, for some reason we didn't give her the respect she was entitled to.
Even after she recently died, local authorities were quoted saying things like "she did what many others did" when what she did was exceptional, and she was our most awarded war hero. I suspect it's a kind of sexism, diminishing her bravery and achievements.
