Nah -- I think she buys them from thrift stores. I used to see them all the time. They really proliferated in the 80's!
Plus -- she calls herself a "preserver" of this "art form"

That's right--I should have known they weren't handmade (duh!) Think I didn't get enough sleep last night!

I collect really awful, LOUD, 70s neckties I know probably don't have a chance in hell of selling for the same reason, you know--strictly curatorial devotion to a historical trend, nothing obsessive or peculiar about it... :D
