Parkside Hat

Need help dating this hat. I did a label search on VFG and Etsy and Ruby Lane and could not find it. Only one link came up through a vintage clothing store from an internet search, but the label looked different as it had a golfer on the label. It is a thick black velvet hat, not lined, ribbon around the edge with a sewn in label as seen in the photo. Any ideas?

Hello, and thanks for sharing your lovely hat with us. Without having it in my hand to be sure, I would date it to the late 1940s to early 1950s.

It does not appear to be made of velvet, but is a nice quality imported fur felt with a velour finish.
