Patchwork suede poncho - real vintage?

Well I'm getting better with most things (sorting through hundreds of vintage sewing patterns has helped alot ) but this one has me baffled - it's real suede, at least it smells real. but it has a 90s feel to me now that I'm looking at it over again, what do you all think?

I'd say this was in the last 6 years or so when these were so popular.

I'm not so sure with this one. Did you purchase the skirt you are posing it with at the same time? I'm asking because the v-pleat in front is definitely a 70s styling.

Ah, no the skirt is for sure 70s, I have quite a few of those- the poncho was another one of those impulse buys from when I first got back into vintage clothes - I think that my eye for it is getting better now, I'm starting to think if I don't think it's really vintage, it probably isn't - whoo hoo, thanks to everyone here!
