Pauline Trigere

Late 60s/early 70s? The Trigere label combined with the Saks label (with its "S" looking similar to a diagonal infinity sign) seem to indicate that. The zip is nylon. It's fully lined in silk, hand-stitched in most places. I can't decide about the main fabric... feels kind of crepe-ish?? No other labels besides the two shown.

I can't find much similar for comparison... at least in the long length. This one is a good size, too. I'd equate it to a M/L and for a tall woman... 5'9"or 5'10". And it comes with a matching triangular shawl. How would that have been correctly worn?

Thank you,
~Donna

Donna, I agree with an early '70s date - you can see '30s styling and the fabric does look like crepe, which also suggests it could be in this time frame. The simplicity of style was popular then, and I think the shawl is just that: to be worn over the shoulders, around the arms. Sleeveless dresses, especially when worn at night often require a cover, depending on the climate.
