Hey everyone,

What are our dating thoughts on this blouse, with the Peony label? It's loosely fitted and quite boxy, covered buttons, wih scalloped edge sleeves and collar, hand embroidered front detail, no care labels.

I think it's going for a '40s look, but maybe say 1970s-does-40s?

Ava, I think most of these were made for the tourist market, and not very prone to Western fashions. I would date yours as '60s.

I have seen this Chinese label from time to time, in silk blouses similar to yours.
Export item for shops, and for tourist market, as Nicole said.
I think this blouse is 70s to 80s era, estimating.

I have had a lot of these in the past, I actually used to buy them new back in the late 1960s and early 70s. They were made for export. With the collar on yours I would say early 1970s.
