Apologies if there's a better place to put this, but as it's not clothing...
Mark Hill (of Antiques Roadshow & Miller's guide books) has put on his blog an album of 1950's interior photographs he aquired, that all have the designers, dates and manufacturer's written on the back. Most appear to be between 1954-9. They appear to all be British households/showrooms, but the designers are various nationalities. He has published them online so decendants of the copyright holders may claim what is rightfully theirs, otherwise so people may identify furniture with designers etc. or just see period interior examples. He has contact info on the page so more questions can be asked about particular photographs. The photos are split into three categories: Seating, Home Accessories, Other Furniture
I found the rooms much more modern than I was expecting for 1954 and some of them are so Ikea-like! Incidentally, we had that sofa in our previous house and my father has always regretted selling it...
