The clothes look great, but those wallpaper backgrounds are awful - they really detract from the presentation.

Funny, I didn't even notice that, Jonathan! (Though the mannequins made me think of the fab ones you commissioned for the Fashion History Museum...)

The mannequins on the small "islands" in the center rotated, and there was a jukebox (with maybe 50 songs on it?) which visitors could actually choose a favorite selection on. (DH, who was naturally done looking at the clothes before me, had a good time with that!)

One really funny thing was overhearing the Baby Boom generation guests (ie "I had a pair of pants just like that", "That reminds me of the dress I wore when...", etc.)

Looks so fab! Thanks for sharing these images!

Carrie,

Well I would be one of those whispering baby boomers! I remember all those fashions when I was a sweet young thing and yes, I actually wore some of those styles too, but not the high end designer stuff. Although I did have a few Biba skirts and dresses that were hand- me-downs that I wore till they literally fell apart and then I made a scarf out of 1 of them and that wore out too. I REALLY really wanted to see this show, but no way I am able to travel now. So...THANK YOU .....I really enjoyed seeing this, thank you for sharing. Lucky you!

I agree about the wallpaper, it is not only distracting but ugly too.
