pics added 60\'s A line dresses with branded zips - date? origin?
These are posted together because I got them together and all but the navy St Michael's knit are handmade, several from the same pattern with slight variations like length, sleeves and buttons for decoration, they all have metal zips which I have shown.
The hints and tips guide says Lightning zips are Canadian - so how did they end up in England? Would they have imported them in the 60's or is it more likely someone emigrated?
I would also like to know if all of these are from the same period or if you think some are earlier/later and reasons - I'm looking to learn here as they all look pretty much the same to me.
This first my favourite, for the colour and pattern, and is slightly longer on me than the others. I've worn it for the photo because flat the pattern disguises the design. The Lightning zip is shown below.
I think this says 'OPTI'? presumably British
