Pierre Cardin Evolution

Hello, good afternoon. My name is Jackline. I’m from Brazil, and I have an iconic piece to show you that still remains a mystery to me. Recently, I found this Pierre Cardin piece, a wonderful silk dress. Everything seems fine, but what’s intriguing is the label with a unique symbol and numbering. After some research, I discovered that this symbol is from the Cadillac Evolution period, but I couldn’t find any reference to clothing. Could you please help me identify this piece? I’d love to know what kind of piece I have in my hands. Thank you in advance.

I'm looking through late '70s- early '80s newspaper clippings and so far, nothing linking this emblem or the Cadillac Evolution to a clothing line. If it was connected to the car, you'd think there would be a ton of press devoted to it.

But I did find articles from 1978 and 1979 that reference his space called Evolution Pierre Cardin. Might be worth a deeper dive...

That dress definitely looks 1980s!
The symbol is indeed found on the early 80s Cadillac Evolution by Pierre Cardin.
Curiously, I haven't seen it used in any of the car's advertising that I've come across, but it can be found on/in the car itself.
I wonder if the dress was worn by an auto show model at the time...? (Just an idea.)

Whoa, that's amazing! I scored this dress at a thrift store here in Brazil, and I didn't get much info about it. I run an online vintage shop with a more curated selection, so I got curious about the dress and started doing some research.
