pins dating these?

I found a pin collection ranging from the 20s or so to 50s. These two I wanted to double check.
The locket pin has a clasp which is flatter and wider beginning use in the mid edwardian era. However, it has aspect that lead me to date it 20s -30s. Any ideas? The bird I find a wild card as these are so mass produced later- the hinge style and clasp are older in design - again these can be used later. Date? Thanks

I think they are both WWII era - 1940's. The first one is sometimes referred to as "Sweetheart Jewelry". The wearer would have a photo or a lock of hair in the locket portion. Birds represented freedom during this period. They could be earlier but that's my initial reaction.

Okay, that sounds plausible I have seen the air force lockets via that era. The bird had not occurred to me, I am so jaded by the stamped pin repos:) but I think you are correct. That makes sense. They do look 40s material wise.... I think that I will set them as that date. Thanks, any other thoughts are welcome!
