plastic beads - date? name?

I was wondering what kind of plastic these beads might be. Thy look a bit like moonglow. The larger beads have a pattern inside. I can't tell if the pattern is intentional or if it might be a form to make large beads that usually doesn't show through. Any help is appreciated.

Are your beads relatively light or heavy? If you rub them really hard do you get an odor? If you knock them together do they make a click, a clack or a thunk?

From your photo they look more to me like marbleized Bakelite than Moonglow - which has more of a pearlescent look.

Thanks. They are relatively heavy. Heavier than lucite beads i have. They are slightly pearly and the smaller beads are totally translucent. I can't get much of a smell from them - maybe faintly sweet. I added another pic above.

The beads are definitely not glass. They don't have a seam - it must be a reflection in the photos. The clasp is not original - it's a modern antiqued brass finished lobster claw. I was just wondering if the honeycomb pattern was a defect or a feature and if it had a name.
Thanks for the ideas. I think it's probably lucite.
