Please help date photo by child's clothing

I picked up this photo by Detroit-area noted photographer Frank Scott Clark. The March 1915 issue of The Photographic Journal of America has a wonderful article on Mr. Clark here. A good contemporary article can be found here. He left a partnership (Huntington & Clark) in 1903 to step out on his own, and subsequently passed away in 1937 so... the photo should date between 1903 and 1937. What do you think?
Thanks,
~Donna

I haven't researched children's footwear but I get the impression that in the Victorian age to WWII it was pretty unisex. I also remember that plenty of things we consider feminine now were perfectly suitable for boys back then - I can't remember when it changed but until a certain point pink was considered a boy's colour and blue a girl's.

I keep thinking those woven striped socks might be pertinant - when were they in fashion?
