Please help dating this cotton dress?

hello all,

I have this dress and matching jacket,
Actually I bought it for resale, but somehow it ended up in my own wardrobe instead...:singing:

The set is made of pretty thick cotton, has no labels except for the size tag, 36. I find it difficult to date this set: any ideas anyone?

thank you,

It looks late 70s to me - maybe 1980ish at the latest? Its that cap sleeve style on the jacket the narrow A-line of the skirt and wide straps, and the camisole type cut to the top, plus the large pockets.

Yeah I agree, my first thought was early 80's (those cuspers, they're so hard!) so late 70s makes scence (since Jonathan knows WAY more than me - I'd go with that) - it would've ended up in my closet too :) some things you just have to keep!- it's so cute and wearable!! I love that both the skirt and jacket have pockets, so cute!

Late seventies it is!

Jonathan: thank you for your answer: with so many clues I should have guessed the dating myself: always very happy to learn!
Coffeegrl: I have a sneaking suspicion your closets are just as overloaded as mine...:USING:
