I assume that this dress is from the 60s, but then I got to thinking what IF it is from an earlier period and I have it totally wrong. So, I thought I'd ask the experts! What do you think?

Those white buttons look more modern, this dress looks 80s to me.

BTW, what is the name of this type of fabric? I am pretty sure it is cotton, but it has a pulled (bumpy) look/feel to it.
