Hi! Can anyone tell me what company made the dress shields of this vintage dress please? I cannot make out what it says in between the M and 3391.
I think the dress may be 30s or 40s. It snaps closed on the side as well as at the back of the neck which has a small bow detail.
It has princess seams and partial waist seams. Is there a name for this type of construction?
I don't have a picture but the snaps are marked with what looks like K I N and a star.
Thank you in advance for your much appreciated help! :)

What a great find! It looks like late 30s or early 40s to me, though I would expect the cuffs of the sleeves to have buttons or snaps rather than elastic (?). This may have been altered from a longer length to make it wearable for other than evening (a funeral maybe?). I'm sorry I can't help with those dress guards: the print is too blurry (for me, at least).
