Please Help me - Eisenberg 40s Dress Suit.

First - I need to post a disclaimer re the photo. This is just a quick shot & it isn't great. It's also a wee bit large, but the details don't show up at all any smaller. They barely show in this pic. But I needed to get something for y'all to look at.
I'm going to add a couple of pics of the details in a minute.

I *think* this is early 40's. I am 5'10" & the skirt is way below the knee on me - It's 32" Long. The skirt is also unlined & doesn't appear to have ever been lined. So that makes me wonder if maybe it isn't older yet - like 30's maybe? Side Metal Zipper & Pinked Seams.

I need any & all the help y'all can give me. I'd like to firm up the era, etc. I can not find anything on google about Eisenberg garments - especially Turf Club.
There is one jacket listed on de bay but I can't tell anything from it. No label pic, etc.

The Jacket is lined in copper rayon crepe. The wool tweed is fine & is a dark copper with black. I don't know if you can see the pockets or not, but the detail on them is really neat. Covered buttons - but the bottom one has been replaced with an ugly leather one. I'm going to try to find a piece of fabric in a seam that won't show & cover a new one.

I posted the label to the Label Resource thread a week or so ago.

It reads:
Eisenberg
California Originals
Turf Club
MFRS of Coats & Suits
100% Wool

Many Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction to research this & for any & all other experienced guesswork!

p.s. - it's a good size, too. Waist is 34".

Leisa, thanks for posting pics for us to see. Do you have any of the skirt? I'm wondering if it's A-line, flared or straight?

So far I'm thinking late '40s-early '50s for your suit.

I've found one on ebay - the label looks to be a "sportswear" version of yours = 370101447933

I don't feel confident venturing a date opinion on your suit (especially without seeing the silhouette with the skirt!), but did want to chime in, as I've been fascinated by Eisenberg fashions ever since I a brocade 50s coat by them years back without "getting" the jewelry connection...

Here is a VFG thread about an Eisenberg dress (with label pic):

And according to this article on Eisenberg, the clothing can go back to early in the 20th century:

Thanks so much, everyone.

That jacket on ebay is the only thing I've found anywhere with the Eisenberg label.
I'll definitely look at the thread about the dress, Carrie. Thank you for the link.

As to the skirt - it is more of an A-Line than anything, I guess. But it's a narrow A-Line, if that makes any sense.

I'll post a pic in a few minutes, but it'll be on a hanger.
Otherwise, clipping it to fit me or mz_thang will distort the actual line of it.

Thanks again - Leisa

Leisa,

What a pretty suit! Looking at the pictures posted and that you state the skirt is a longer a-line, I would estimate it as late 1940's. That length was popular at that time. Your jacket looks about right for that time period as well.
