Please help me identify logo on 1970s/80s Italian mini skirt

Hi! I just bought this 1970s/80s cotton skirt, made in Italy, and I'm curious what brand it is. I don't recognize the logo on the label. Looks like it starts with a G...but that's all I've got so far.

I believe it's Ginny. They were a higher-end brand in the 80s/90s. I have had things with that label before and I did find advertisements for them in Vogue. Your skirt looks late 80s-early 90s to me.

Yep, Genny - rember the label! My mom inherited a Genny suit from my grandma (her mother-in-law) when she died. This is so random, but for some reason I remember. Maybe because my mom mentioned the name - she knew what it was, but wouldn't have been able to afford anything that expensive at the time.

Oops - the perils of not double checking what you write - yes, Genny is what I meant. I am surprised they are still around, I haven't seen anything by them in years.
