Please Help Me Identify My Vintage Crocodile Handbag

Hi All,
I am the proud owner of my grandmother's vintage crocodile handbag. I have posted pictures. There is absolutely no manufacturer identification (not even indicating where the purse was made), only the French "de'pose'" registration mark stamped on the inside of the clasp. The clasp itself has unique engineering - you pull one of the sides and then push a button to open. There is also a matching coin purse and mirror (which has oxidized). The purse itself feels like it is lined with fine kid leather, and the purse itself is a great shape for its age. If anyone has or knows of a similar bag and can shed some light regarding its origin or age, that would be great. My grandmother passed away many years ago, and unfortunately, we do not know the story behind the bag.
Thank you!!!

Gosh that bag is beautiful, and the condition is amazing judging by your photos.RE dating lets see what the bag/purse experts amongst us here have to say, I am thinking early 60's perhaps?

That is a beauty, such a classic!

It's very difficult to date this without a maker's stamp. I see the depose stamp but not an actual maker or store stamp.
I also think that perhaps the mirror was not original to this actual handbag.

I would agree with everyone else here as in late 50s or early 60s.

Thank you all so much for your feedback!!! I agree that this is a handbag is probably from the 1950's or 1960's. My grandmother took extremely good care of her purses - she would carry cheap ones for everyday use and only use her fancy purses on special occasions. I was shocked to see the condition of this bag, however, as the brass legs on the bottom have minimal wear. As for the mirror, the backside is lined with the same kid leather as the interior of the purse, so I am going to assume that it did come with it, but I am not sure if I should get it re-mirrored, or just leave it be? Thoughts? Also, any idea why there are no manufacturer stamps anywhere?

Have you checked the interior of the front pocket under those two buckles, I see you have undone it, just wondering if there may be something stamped inside of the actual pocket or a label?

If the mirror is lined in the same fine kid then it must be original. I just felt it looked in pretty bad shape for a mirror if the purse is only from the late 50s/early 60s.
Generally, when I find mirrors in this condition the bags are from the 30s or 40s, but it's only the mirror, thankfully!

I just checked the purse again, and there are no markers. Was it common for people to have customer purses made? Curious. Also, I was very surprised to see the mirror in such bad shape as well (and thank goodness that it's only the mirror!!!), but maybe that means that the purse is from the 1930's or 1940's instead? I have so many questions!!! I live in the Chicagoland area and wonder if there is anyone local that you recommend that I bring the handbag to for an in-person inspection? I wonder if the clasp gives any indication as to its origin? So many questions...ultimately, it probably doesn't matter because it is a gorgeous bag. :) Thank you all again for your help and insight!!!
