Im not an expert in fur. But when i was a teenager we found a jacket like this when we moved into our new home at it was made of beaver. This looks very similar. It prob feels like thick and tough. Not super silky soft like rabbit.

Thank you for your reply. It is super soft and you can move the fur all ways. The coat is very light and not heavy at all.

Possibly mink i would say as second guess. It closely resembles both. But beaver is usually much heavier. Hopefully someone else can chime in. Maybe post a pic of tag to try to date the coat
