Please help me with the style of this Miss Elliette Dress

Hi! I have this dress I think is from the 1960s. I've been trying to find info about how this was worn, and what the style is called. I've tried searching but can't find a name for it. Any info would be great, thanks so much!

I would agree that it's from the 60's and it has a mermaid hem with side pleats. Do you have it clipped at all? To me it looks like it should be filled out more in the hips making it look more like a wiggle dress with a mermaid hem or skirt.

I agree also with 1960s. It looks like a sheath dress to me, with a flared, crystal pleated hem. I personally would not call that a mermaid hem, but we each see things differently I suppose.

Furwise- I do not have it clipped or pulled back at all. It is very shapely, hugs the mannequin well. This shape is what had me thinking it might go underneath something. I think you're correct, though, that it would be considered a wiggle dress.
