Please help to identify fur

Hi all, I was wondering if any of you might be able to help me identify what type of fur has been used to make this jacket? I took a bit of a guess at fox fur, but I'm probably totally wrong!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

yes not fox, don't think it's broadtail either (has tighter waves and ususally black or greys) My guess is pony or calf skin.

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate your help. I've attached another picture that shows the pelts from behind, I don't know if this helps or not. The fur feels almost soft to the touch, but quite stiff.

Thanks again :) I don't suppose anybody has an idea of the age of it? I would usually look at tags/wash labels etc and try to figure it out myself, but this has nothing to help!

I don't think this is 'real' broadtail lamb or what is known as processed broadtail - where the pelts are taken from lambs. Real broadtail is taken from stillborn or unborn lamb and is/was generally used for quite expensive garments.

This has a bit of the moire' sheen but I think this might be pony.
