Please help-Vintage Fur ID

Could someone please help me identify what type of fur this beautiful vintage jacket is made from, please? I picked it up at auction over the holiday and I'm not sure if it is really the fox fur that it was marketed as. Thank you for your assistance!

Hi Beth, Your close up photos look a bit more flat or compact and shiny than how I would expect the close ups of fox fur to look but I cannot identify on those close ups alone. Could you please show front and back photos of the entire garment?

Lining is a satin like material. There are NO tags inside...no maker, no furrier, no size, not even an ilgwu tag :( No direction to even begin any research. Sorry the pics are sideways...I'm doing this from my phone.

Russian Squirrel feels very soft. There is more fur per square inch than what would be on a house cat therefore because you are feeling more fur with your fingertips you feel more density and softness.
It's a nice fur to have and to be able to wear around casually, to dinner, and to sporting events. It will keep you warm too. :)
