Please help with date for this cocktail dress~

Hi,

I'm thinking 50's on this dress~ Am I correct?

It has a full metal zipper at the back and the sleeves have gussets at the underarm.

Yes, I'd estimate mid 1950s. Stunning dress, great photos! I wish I had info on the label to give you.

Wow, what a beauty! The waist and lace are just phenomenal (if I'm seeing right, the lace is backed in a matching color satin to the waist? If so, double yum!)

Yes, the lace strip is backed with the same fabric as the cummerbund.

I really need to toughen up - letting such a pretty thing go is soooo hard~
