Please help with some Mam\'selle raspberry suede stilettoes

Hello, hope someone can help.

I picked up a pair of 4.5" raspberry suede peep-toe stilletoes from a charity shop the other day and I'd like to find out a little bit more about them.

ie, how old they are, the designer, whether they were a popular designer available to anyone or upmarket shoes for the more polished lady.

The label is Mam'selle and also says 'Cagnes' and 'made in England' on it.

They're in such good nick, part of me thinks they may be a modern copy on an older shoe. But the other half wonders if I've been really lucky and found some gorgeous vintage shoes.

Cheers Nicki

The straight stiletto heel with the open toe and vamp ornament are features from the second incarnation of the stiletto heel, c. 1980. Cagnes would be the name of the model of the shoe and Mam'selle the line of shoes, but I have never heard of this line before and can't identify the manufacturer. They look like middlin quality shoes and were probably sold through a good department store.
