please help with vintage nightgown.

Found this in a box of old slips at an estate sale. I fell in love.. felt very romantic to me. I have been unable to find label anywhere and am not sure what it is even made of.. I do not think it is nylon. I am just wondering a date? 70's? and maybe what it might be made of. Thanks to anyone who can help. I just even found out vintage nightgowns were popular.. I always thought I was weird lol

The label looks late 1940s or 1950s to me. It does look like it could be nylon from your photos. That was the most popular fabric used for sleepwear at that time. Unless it is is a very fine cotton. The lace would be machine made.

Thank you! It is not cotton.. it for sure is something synthetic.. It just felt more delicate than nylon to me.. but maybe it is age, nor and I an expert on fabrics. Thank you!!

It most likely is a nylon, the old nylon was quite soft and delicate.
