Please would you peruse this tag ...remron/astarte?

I posted yesterday & now my post is missing. Sigh.

Here's my piece: a filmy 60's ish black jersey draped dress with a tag that confuses me.

Have you heard of this maker? and is this "Astarte of California" -- or "Remron Astarte"? --- My suspicion is that "remron" might be a fabric brand. Can you clear it up for me?

I think that that's a more recent company, circa 1981-present.
That mention was all I could find, as well.
 
That fabric tag below the main label has a 70s look to me...actually the dress does too...to me...

I can't find Remron in the Fairchild's Dictionary of Textiles, which has a number of fabric brand names listed. I think I know where you are coming from with that though, it has that sort of made-up word feel, like a derivative of rayon and some word that is proprietary for the company.

Ventugarde -- This dress is full-length, with overly-long, narrow dolman sleeves & 65" width in the skirt, long nylon zipper.
The design seems timeless to me and I was having trouble deciding between late 60's-early 80's -- so thanks for the 70's tip, much appreciated :USETHUMBUP:
