Hello,
my first question is have your heard of Edwards Lingerie and when do you think this is from? Secondly, what is the waist treatment called? It is a diamond and is pleated like a cumberbund. Third, the top is all gathered and then gathered in at the shoulder seam...is this called something?

Oh, I am drooling over this... I "do" a lot of lingerie, but can't recall the Edwards' name. Sorry! I would call this a Goddess Gown for sure, with "pleated diamond-waist inset." Or "diamond cummerbund waist inset" works, too. It's quite descriptive of what it is. The pleats are, I believe, accordian pleats, but that term probably doesn't mean much, insofar as being a keyword or anything.

The gathering at the shoulders is evoked by the "Goddess" terminology. I thnk I'd call it a gathered & draped bodice. Actually, I'd call it one hot-looking piece of lingerie! End of story....

I do alot of lingerie too, and love it!

i also agree with Anne..Goddess sells.. i'd also use "sheer chiffon" in the title, both are great lingerie key words, and that certainly fits both!

The pattern on the chiffon skirt, looks gorgeous, and totally unique.
If you do it on ebay, be sure you make it a private auction.

a beautiful gown!

I did find that the RN# assigned to the Edwards Lingerie company came out roughly between 1960 and 1961. Of course that does not mean that is the date for this gown but it does help a little bit. They are not on the us patent site at all. It's a beautiful down with all the draping. :)

Thanks everyone for all the help and encouraging words...I love the gown too and think it is super sexy !!!
