Pls help with (possibly?) late 1800s / early 1900s

Found in trunk with other late 1800 / early 1900 pieces. Heavily embellished fine silk faille (sadly shattering but all trims are in great condition). Embellishments are hand applied; so presumably could be easily removed & reused if someone recreated it.
Lining has an odd inner chest pocket over the left breast. It's a little too large for my 35"24"35" dress form (but so are/were the other pieces in the trunk). It closes up front with many long silver hooks going into fine thread covered 'furrier loops'.
The floral round medallions once had fine bullion stitching (now faded but metal is still there). Tassels are feather light silk. Inner seams are machine stitched.

Am getting Orientalism Exotic / Turkish vibe from the embellishments. No labels.

Is this a bodice or a jacket? Any idea how to narrow down date?

Any input welcomed - this time frame is not my forte... thanks, KD
