Alas, I haven't got time to take any proper pictures this weekend (and the light's miserable anyway), but I just wanted to throw this label up to see if it rang anyone's bells!

Dauphine by L'Aiglon - on the jacket part of a ivory & gold jacquard 60s dress & boxy jacket set (no label except for the union label on the dress - just goes to show what ID you lose when sets/suits break up...)

Anybody?

I've also got a 'Spector and Shanler' New York label on a lovely chiffon layered 50s frock that <b>I'm keeping</b> he he - but I presume that could be a mid-size store of some kind - another one for the mystery labels thread, perhaps.

No useful pics of the Dauphine dress, but for a totally frivolous frock shot, here's a v. quick prelim pic of the lovely, tiny, Lilli Diamond coffee cream lace dress that I got in the same bunch:

Can't help you on the label Lin, but am drooling over that L.D. dress!

:D I know! It's like a coffee cream wrapped in tissue or something!

Any idea what the market is like for LD at the moment? I haven't checked yet. This is close to being a social X-ray size (or, more politely, petite Xsmall), but I'm still deciding what venue would be best for it.

I had a Dauphine for L'Aiglon label ( may still be around here) but know nothing about it.
 
I've had straight L'Aiglon labeled items before. At least I think they were L'Aiglons! They were all 70s poly print dresses much like the Lanvins. I seem to remember a few of them having additional tags from high end stores like Neimans and realizing they were pricey for their day. But that's about all I know!
 
I have just bought a pink voile summer wiggle with Dauphine by L´Aiglon label. There are quite a few on Etsy. I think mine is mid to late 60s judging by style and as it has a nylon zipper. I will have a shot of the label in the next few days.
