Power Outages & Exploding Manholes

Opps! I stand corrected. There are now power outages and subway stoppages on the Upper East Side.

If they come across town - I'll just run outside & play in the severe lightening storms that are on the way. :o

They look severe enough on the weather maps, so I finally hooked up my cable jumper to route my cable line through a hefty cable surge protector I've had sitting here for months...

Super hot and humid here in Ontario too - but so far
no power outages. Keeping fingers crossed.

Every year around this time I feel almost guilty in saying that here in Southern California it's a downright pleasant, sunny, 82 degree day.

Of course -- that'll change as we progress into full-on summer, I'm sure. Last year we had many days in the upper 90's and into the 100's. A few even up over 112!! Heck -- we had a freaking heat wave in JANUARY!

We have a BIG SCARY storm that's about to POUNCE on us! :o

For those who saw the movie Jurassic Park, it feels like the part where they are stuck in the tropical storm and they hear the thunder of the T-Rex approching for the first time!

Well, that's what it feels like to me. :wacko:

Lots of crazy lightening & scary thunder, plus a downpour is just about here. :sniff:
