Cleaning question: I scored a fabulous 80's (please correct me if I'm wrong on dating this) Oleg Cassini Black Tie heavily beaded bodysuit with hangtag from Saks still attached at the thrift store, and I can't wait to wear it. I'm assuming it's never been worn, as the hang tag is dangling prominently from one sleeve. So here's my question:The care tag says "professional spot clean only" as well as "do not wash", "do not dry clean". The back of the care tag is even more stern.. The suit looks and smells fine, but I am a bit leery of wearing anything that's been around for 30(?) years without at least a gentle laundering. What would you do? Should I not worry about cleaning this? Has anyone successfully washed a garment with a tag like this? Thanks for any guidance!
